Scoot Over grew out of real experience and the belief that mental health support should feel open, visible, and empowering.

Our Executive Director, Melissa Nguyen, began her journey when her own brother experienced severe complications from cannabis-induced psychosis, making it incredibly difficult to stabilize him and navigate the complex mental health system. This firsthand experience fuels our passion to help other families find support and ease the emotional toll. We know that early guidance and expert direction can change everything – helping families avoid unnecessary crises and confusion.

That is why we connect families to the knowledge, resources, and professionals who chart a path forward, making support accessible and stigma-free for everyone.
